Human Relations Facilitator
Born in 1968, he spent his formative years in several parts of Tamilnadu, moving with his father who was in government service. After completing his BE in Mechanical Engineering at PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, he had a brief stint with the corporate world in Chennai and Kolkota.
Driven by his interest for teaching and research, Suriyaprakash completed his MBA from Bharathiar School of Management and Entrepreneur Development in 1994 and joined Dr.G.R.Damodaran College of Science, Coimbatore. He served as Assistant Professor in Human Resource Development and Marketing Management at GRD Institute of Management for nine years. His specializations include Organisational Behaviour and Services Marketing.
As Founding Director-Facilitator, he has trained over 3000 participants ? managers, executives, factory workers, parents, students, and social workers ? and has logged over 5000 hours of teaching, training and consultancy using TA, since 1995. He is also a Provisional Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst (organisational specialty) of the International TA Association, Oakland, USA.
Graduating from the Institute for Counselling and Transactional Analysis, Cochin he is the Secretary and Voluntary Counsellor at Asha Counselling and Training Services. He was the President of TA Study Circle of Coimbatore and the Co-chair, Training Standards Committee of the Training and Certification Council of Transactional Analysts, Oakland, USA.
This facilitator has acquired Post Graduate Diplomas in Business Administration and Higher Education. He is a Master of Philosophy (Entrepreneurship) from Madurai Kamaraj University. He visits several educational institutions and organizations as invited speaker and has presented several papers in national and international seminars and conferences. At present he is pursuing his Doctoral research focusing on ?Behaviour Patterns and Quality of Work life of Physicians?.
As Facilitator, and TA consultants, he has conducted over 5000 hours of Human Relations Training and Development Workshops and Counselling for organisations and individuals in and around Coimbatore, covering over 3000 participants. His emphasis is on developing the quality of Human Relations in organizations, which leads to improved productivity, cordial work environment, and enhanced Quality of Work Life.
He has given over 100 hours of guest lectures in schools, colleges, and other academic forum.
Some of the other interests close to his heart are travelling, studying people, reading non-fiction and cooking. Suriyaprakash is married and lives with his wife in Coimbatore. As a proponent of Human Development, he enjoys flowing with life and his mission is to help people empower themselves and improve their Quality of Life through effective Human Relations.
