During 2002/3 he completed a basic skills program for the Sasol Temane Pande natural gas project in rural Vilankulos (Mozambique) where he successfully mobilised trainers, equipment and tools to an area that had no infrastructure, supplies or skills. In a period of one year, 600 learners were trained and all students were employed by Sasol.
During 2004 he provided 136 learnerships and five incubator centres to the national skills fund project "Shintsha" that focused on cost effective space saving furniture manufacturing. The program was highly successful and recognised by the government as a benchmark project for future development in SA.
